Six-Word Memoirs with SMITH Mag

Backstory

Newly married, my first attempt at cooking a turkey. I read and re-read the directions several times, as I was cooking for two couples and my new husband. I cut all the stuffing vegies and little bad full of turkey giblets (yes, I found them before cooking the turkey). Stuffed the turkey,made all the rest of my superbly planned Thanksgiving Dinner menu, the guests arrived, we played cards and talked and just kept busy until dinner. At the appointed time the directions gave for the 16 pounder, I proudly announced the dinner was ready, with the help of the other two lady friends, we got everything on the table and sat down. One of our friends said he would like to say Grace. So he said a very nice Thanksgiving Prayer, and my husband of five months proudly got the large knife ready to cut into the bird.
the first cut sprayed blood all over every-one.We all looked at each other and began laughing hilariously. Likewise with the pie, it was not done, but soupy in the middle. Both the turkey and pie went back in the oven, and we went back to cards and fun and a lot of laughing. P.S. We are still all friends, after all these years and many other boo-boos to numerous to be mentioned.
