Six-Word Memoirs with SMITH Mag

Vietnam 1971: fish, flies, hogs underfoot

Backstory

I was visiting my husband in Vietnam (he was with the State Dept.), was 5months pregnant, went upriver in a pt boat to a village which had received enemy mortar destruction, to hand out food and supplies. Was honored to a meal: blackened fish covered with flies which were shooed away and we only ate the inner unflyful part. Hogs were roaming around under the table. I did NOT get sick, either!!!
